Omsamarthan Foundation’s Women’s Empowerment work focuses on addressing the immediate and dignified needs of underprivileged women. We conduct women’s hygiene and sanitary awareness sessions, educating women on menstrual health and ensuring access to sanitary products for those in need. Alongside this, we organise health and eye care camps in collaboration with medical professionals, offering free check-ups and distributing essential support such as spectacles and healthcare guidance. Every initiative is designed to strengthen dignity, improve health, and build confidence.

Overview
Across India, millions of women—particularly those from underserved and low-income communities—continue to face barriers to healthcare, menstrual hygiene, personal safety, and access to essential support systems. Our Women’s Empowerment Programme exists to address these challenges through practical, community-led interventions that promote dignity, awareness, health, and self-reliance.
As part of this work, we conduct women’s hygiene and sanitary awareness sessions in communities, educating women and adolescent girls about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and available support systems. To ensure awareness is backed by access, we distribute sanitary pads to women who otherwise struggle to afford them. We also organise free medical consultation camps, connecting women with qualified gynecologists and healthcare professionals who provide guidance on reproductive health, preventive care, and essential health support. Alongside healthcare outreach, meal support is provided to individuals and families during community programmes, ensuring immediate needs are also addressed.
Beyond health and hygiene, we focus on safety and confidence-building through self-defence awareness and training sessions. These programmes equip women with practical skills and knowledge to protect themselves, strengthen self-confidence, and improve personal safety.

Hygiene awareness and menstrual health education help break long-standing stigmas while enabling women to make informed decisions about their health.
